Using the calculators directly

Using a Calcoya calculator, quiz or test on this site doesn't require an account, and we don't ask for your email or any personal information to show you a result. Calculations happen in your browser or are computed on our server per request — inputs you enter aren't stored against your identity.

Analytics and advertising

We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage, and Google AdSense to show ads that keep Calcoya free. Both can set cookies and use similar technologies in your browser; Google's own privacy policy governs how they use that data. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising via Google's Ad Settings.

Embed accounts (businesses)

If you create an account to embed Calcoya tools on your own site, we store your email, authentication data, and billing information needed to run the subscription (via Supabase for accounts/data and Stripe for payments — we never see or store your card details ourselves). If you enable email-gated lead capture on your embed, the emails your visitors submit are stored against your account; you are the data controller for that data, and are responsible for how you use and disclose it to your own visitors.

We keep embed account data — your account details, billing history and any lead-capture emails collected through your embed — for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet our accounting and tax obligations. If you close your account, contact us and we'll delete data we aren't legally required to retain.

Third parties

We use Supabase (accounts and data storage), Stripe (payments), Google Analytics and Google AdSense (as above), and Upstash (rate limiting). We don't sell personal data.

Your rights

If you have an embed account, you can view and delete your data by contacting us or through your account settings. More generally — whether or not you have an account — you can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. Australian visitors have these rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles; EU/UK/EEA visitors have equivalent rights under the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object). We'll respond to a request within a reasonable time, and may need to verify your identity first. To ask about, correct or delete any data we hold about you, email hello@calcoya.com.

Children

Calcoya is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads served on Calcoya are not personalised to children, in line with Google AdSense's policies on child-directed treatment.

We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision.
